What is the best Voltello aircon automation for Amber Electric customers?
Amber Electric customers should use the 'Aircon for Amber' smart automation plan instead of the 'Surplus Solar for Comfort' plan.
The Aircon for Amber smart automation is designed specifically for Amber Electric customers and is focused on the Amber buy price, not the energy itself. This smart automation effectively manages energy usage and cost, whereas the Surplus Solar for Comfort plan could lead to less optimal results, such as limiting imports during a negative buy price event.
You can also use the Aircon for Amber automation in conjuction with the 'Solar for Amber' automation, that watches your Amber sell price ensuring you do not export your solar during a negative feed-in tariff event.
What could happen if I choose the Surplus Solar for Comfort plan by mistake?
As an Amber Electric customer, you should not be presented with the Surplus Solar for Co smart automation in the Voltello app. If for whatever reason, an Amber customer mistakenly accepts a Surplus Solar for Comfort plan, it could lead to detrimental outcomes, like limiting imports during negative buy price events. This can result in higher costs and less efficient energy usage.
How does Voltello ensure Amber customers select the correct plan?
Voltello filters the smart automations we offer you in the Voltello app to exclude customer accounts with an Amber API key. This means Amber Electric customers will primarily see the Solar for Amber and Aircon for Amber offers.
What happens if I stop being an Amber Electric customer?
If a customer stops being an Amber Electric customer, the Voltello app will not be immediately aware until you inform us. You can do this by contacting our Support Desk by selecting Menu>Support in the Voltello app. Once notified, we will delete the Amber API key from your customer record. You can also delete your own Amber API Key by selecting Menu>Energy Accounts in the Voltello app.
