Is Linkit+ app the same as Voltello app?
No, the Linkit+ app and the Voltello app, although both developed by Village Energy, serve different purposes.
The Linkit+ app is a companion app to our Voltello app and is designed to provide access to a wide range of smart devices, integrating with the Tuya IoT core to offer control over various brands and appliance types. This integration allows for the creation of a versatile and convenient smart home environment.
The Voltello app focuses on managing large loads and offering customers participation in demand flexibility programs through their energy retailers or optimising assets such as air-conditioning and solar. Customers using Voltello can enrol their appliances, including those connected via Linkit+ or other third-party apps, in these programs and offers to receive financial rewards, energy savings, or other incentives.
The apps work in tandem, with Linkit+ facilitating smart device connectivity and Voltello managing the energy aspect and orchestrating the appliances based on the customer's preferences and agreed terms and conditions.
