My power values don't seem right / reversed, how can I validate they are correct?

It doesn't happen very often, but it is possible for an installer to incorrectly wire up a smart meter when being installed.
This would cause your grid values to show up incorrectly in your Voltello app.

There is a way to check whether this is happening with your smart meter.

Go to the Home Page in the Voltello app and check the power value during a time when solar PV is definitely not being produced (e.g at night time and also ensure that no batter or EV is discharging during this time. If your smart meter grid value at this time shows as POSITIVE in the Voltello app, it means that energy is being imported from the grid, this is correct and means your wiring is fine.

However, if the grid value shows as a negative number when you check during the circumstances that we have outlined above, then it means your smart meter has potentially been wired incorrectly. In this case, we recommend you contact your installer to discuss having the meter rewired.
