Customers can generate, delete, suspend and copy API keys from the ‘Menu / Manage Access / API Access’ menu in the Voltello App.
Sharing API keys to your account is the same as sharing your username and password. If you suspect an API key has been shared, you should delete it immediately from the ‘API Access’ screen in the Voltello App.
API keys can also be temporarily deactivated, and re-activated, using the toggle button on the ‘API Access’ screen.
API keys can be copied to the device’s clipboard where the Voltello App is running using the copy icon. The following is an example of an API Key:

By generating and using an API key, you acknowledge that the service is provided with no guarantee of availability or support, and that Village Energy may remove access to the Service at anytime and with no prior notification. You also agree to only use the API Key for its intended purpose, which includes to only access Customer Data that you have express permission to access.
Customers can only generate and manage API keys for their own signed-in account. If you generate an API key, you accept responsibility for keeping it secure and for immediately deleting it in the Voltello App if you suspect it has been compromised. An active API key provides access to a Customer's personal account, asset and automation data.
Village Energy accepts no liability for access granted via a valid API key that has been shared with unauthorised users.
Village Energy may change or update these terms at any time, as this feature is developed and reviewed.
