VPP Battery Onboarding flow


Village Energy has partnered with Amber and Mac Trade Services to help you make your rebate claim with the NSW Government.

Complete BESS2 application via MAC Trade Services https://mactradeservices.com.au/new-south-wales/virtual-power-plant
Your Nomination Form and IPART Fact sheet will be sent to you when you initiate the onboarding in the Voltello App.

This enrolment option is for eligible customers in New South Wales only.

Onboarding process

To enrol in the VPP, you'll ned to:
  1. Check your battery's eligibility
  2. Purchase a LinkPro
  3. Download the Voltello App and set up an account
  4. Add your battery & LinkPro in the Voltello app
  5. Configure your 'Battery for Amber' plan, including:
    1. Sign the nomination form, which will be sent to your email.
    2. You'll then be sent an onboarding confirmation email. 
  6. You can then go ahead and complete your BESS2 application.

Compatible Batteries

Your battery must be one of our compatible batteries AND on the CEC-approved battery list. 
Please see the attached spreadsheet 'Voltello_compatible_batteries-20260123.xlsx for inverter and battery combinations and the sheet 'BESS eligible' for BESS 2 eligible batteries.
