What does a Customer need to do before the Installer gets to site?

You can access a Customer Step-by-Step Guide that you can share with your customers here.

Below are the steps a Household Customer will need to follow, ideally before you arrive on site, but this can be done with the customer whilst you are on site if it is not completed beforehand. We have also attached a simple Step-by-Step guide you can share with your customers.

Steps for Household Customers:

1. Download the Voltello App:
  1. Household customers need to download the Voltello app and create an account.
2. Use Invitation Code:
  1. When prompted, use the invitation code ‘VOLTELLO’.
3. Enter Your National Metering Identifier (NMI):
  1. Enter your NMI found on your energy bill. If you do not have this information, it can be added later by your installer.
4. Set a Name for Your Supply Address:
  1. When prompted, enter your name for the supply address to easily identify the account by the installer. This can be changed later.
5. Navigate to ‘Smart Saving Plans for You’:
  1. Go back to the ‘Home’ screen and scroll to ‘Smart saving plans for you’.
  2. Swipe horizontally through the plans until you see the red ‘Flexible Export Compliance’ plan.
6. View and Accept the Plan:
  1. Click ‘View Plan’, review the details, and check the box marked ‘Accept this Plan’.
7. Share Access with Your Solar Installer:
  1. After accepting the plan, share access to your account with your solar installer to configure the Flexible Export Compliance plan on your behalf. You can revoke installer access later if needed.
  2. To share access, go to the ‘Menu’ tab and select ‘Manage Access’.
8. Manage Access:
  1. Select ‘Shared with others’.
9. Select the Account to Share:
  1. If you have more than one account, select the one you want to share.
  2. Enter the email address of the installer you’d like to temporarily grant access to for completing your solar install commissioning.
10. Confirmation:
  1. You will see a ‘Success’ message confirming the process.
11. Prepare for Installer Arrival:
  1. Ensure you have your Wi-Fi credentials ready to share with your installer when they arrive.
By following these steps, household customers will ensure that their solar installer can efficiently complete the CSIP-AUS Flexible Export provisioning.
