What is the Solar Pre-Approval Process?

When you're installing a new PV system with Flexible Exports/Dynamic Connection/Emergency Backstop compliance, you usually have to submit a 'pre-approval application' with the utility before installation. If you don't have solar pre-approval, your provisioning on-site & Voltello's registration with the utility server can fail.

Alert
Important: Make sure you read the up-to-date information form the utility. We aim to keep links and information up-to date, however the application process can still be updated or changed by the utility, so make sure you check for updates and have the most recent utility-specific instructions for approval applications.
