I don't have a solar consumption monitor, but I really want the curtailment to match my household consumption. What hardware will I need to purchase / set up to get consumption monitoring in place?
If you have a Fronius inverter, a compatible Fronius smart meter will cost just over $200, however will require an electrician to install. There is also a range of other aftermarket smart meters available and they also need to be installed by an electrician. The IAM Meter is often a suitable and affordable solution. Please contact your installer if you already have a solar system installed, and they may be able to help you find suitable options for your system.
