Is my smart meter compatible with the Voltello devices?
If your smart meter is the same brand as your compatible inverter (see this article for inverter list) then your smart meter is compatible!
We also support IAMMeter smart meters, which are an affordable option if you don't currently have a smart meter.

The smart meter should be installed on the feed-in path so that it is able to report the total import and export of the household consumption.
You may need to check the installation point with your installer.
Village Energy uses MODBUS to send messages between your inverter, your Voltello device and your smart meter, so any smart meter that does not have MODBUS capability, will not be compatible by default.
Smart consumption meters are different to utility-installed smart meters, such as EDMI meters, which don't allow third-party connection and control.
