Is Voltello compatible with my battery?

We're adding new compatibility for batteries!

Sonnen	Sonnen batteries can be connected to the Voltello LinkPro or LinkZB using your Sonnen API Key. See here for instructions.
Fronius BYD Fronius Reserva	You'll need to enable Modbus on your Fronius inverter to enable communication with your Voltello device.
SMA	SMA's Sunny Island battery and Sunny Boy Storage are compatible with Voltello. You'll need to enable Modbus on your SMA device.
Solis	S6 series Hybrid inverter with battery S5 series Hybrid inverters with battery are still in development
Haier	HH3P series Haier Inverters with battery

Note: Batteries lacking a 'Comms' module or unable to report their state-of-charge (SOC) to the inverter and Voltello LinkPro are not supported.

What if my battery isn't compatible?

If you have a battery that isn't compatible, head to our feature request page and vote for, or add a request, for your battery brand's compatibility.

If you're using the Solar for Amber plan, your battery will still charge during curtailment; you just won't control it directly from the Voltello app or automations. When the Voltello link device activates export control (when we limit exports), we maintain a small level of exports (0.05 kW) to ensure the battery 'sees' surplus solar and charges. As the charging rate increases, we also increase the solar production to meet the needs of the battery while never exporting more than 0.05 kW.

Solar for Amber users can set this to a custom amount in the Plan Preferences. What are the Advanced Options in Solar for Amber?
