When you set up your Solar for Amber plan, you can configure different settings for your automation.
Inverter set-up
Each Solar for Amber plan controls one inverter, so you'll need one plan for each inverter. Choose which inverter to assign the plan to by using the 'Select Inverter' dropdown list if you have more than one:
Amber API Key
Paste your Amber API Key (including the \"psk_\") into this field to automate your load against your Amber price. Remember to include the 'psk_ at the beginning of the key.
You'll get notified if your key didn't work, or you can check back later.
You only need one Amber API key for your site, so if you have multiple inverters at your home, you can use the same key for each plan, or leave it blank if you've entered it previously. If you're registering different sites, you'll need to use different keys for each site.
If you've already entered your Amber API key, you can copy it to other plans or update it in the Plan Preferences.
If you have a compatible smart meter configured in the app, you'll be able to use 'Export Control'. If you don't have a compatible Meter, you'll be using Scaled Production.

Export Control Settings
Enabling Export Control will allow the automation to use your Smart Meter to adjust your Inverter production to match household use during negative FiT. This option requires a Smart Meter installed at this premise and configured in the App.
Maximum Export
If you have a fixed site export limit, you can add it (in kW) to the Maximum Export field. When FiT is positive, your export will be limited to this amount. If there is No value set, your inverters will be set to Maximum Production when FiT is Positive.
Scaled Production Settings
Scaled Production Price
Choose the Feed-In Price (c/kWh) at which you want to reduce your inverter production. When the Feed-In Price is above this value, your inverter will be set to Maximum Production.
Inverter Output (kW)
Your inverter will produce only this amount during periods when your Feed-In price is below the set 'Scaled Production Price' (above).
Zero Production Price
This value uses the Buy Price (not the Feed-In price, or 'sell' price). When your Buy Price is lower than this value (i.e., you're getting paid to import power), your inverter will be shut off entirely.
Advanced Settings
Advanced settings are available for curtailment scheduling or adjustable Negative-FiT export Limits, which can be useful if you have a Battery or EV. We suggest getting to know your main settings and their effects before configuring advanced settings.
