How do I get started in the Voltello App?

So you've ordered a Voltello device... what comes next?
Before your device arrives, you can get set up in the Voltello App.


Before you have your LinkPro...

1. Open the App, create your account and add your Address & NMI.

You’ll need your NMI if you are planning on registering your site for Flexible Exports / Emergency Backstop. Your NMI is used to find your Utility and show you the correct plan. 

2. Make sure your solar/home devices are ready to add...

If you're adding a Sonnen Battery, activate your Sonnen API:

If you're adding other brands of battery, set up your inverter communication via Modbus (below) as this will control your battery communication too.

If you're adding inverters, configure your Inverter Modbus & WiFi settings
To add Inverters or Smart Meters with the Voltello LinkPro, you'll need to make sure that the inverters are ready to communicate with the device.

If you're adding Aircon devices, it will depend on your device's brand...

3. Make sure your Amber API is active.

If you're planning on using your Voltello device with Amber price information, you'll need to find your Amber API Key.


When Your LinkPro arrives...

1. Add your devices through the New Device button in the Home Tab.

Or, you can find it in the Menu tab - tap ‘Plans and Offers, then ‘More Plans’.

3. When you open and select a plan, you’ll be able to configure your Plan Preferences. 

Once configured, you’ll be able to find the plan under the device you assigned it to in the Connection Tab.

If your plan didn’t require a device to assign it to, you’ll find it in the Plans and Offers page under ‘Active Plans’.

View the automations, activity and edit your settings by opening the Plan’s page.
